The foundation of my work is the therapeutic relationship. If there is no honesty, no safety, and no real connection, nothing meaningful changes.
I aim to create a space where you do not need to perform, impress, or protect yourself. You can speak openly without being judged, analysed, or corrected. My role is not to tell you who to be, but to help you see clearly what has been shaping how you think, react, and relate.
I respect the fact that seeking therapy is not easy. Most people arrive because something is no longer working, even if they cannot yet explain what that is. We work with what shows up, not what you think should show up.
I am a formally registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor, currently working toward a clinical level qualification. My background includes holistic counselling, and I draw primarily from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, alongside relational and experiential approaches.
I have extensive experience working with addiction, complex and long term trauma including post traumatic stress, and high risk behaviours in both adolescents and adults.
I do not work from a one size fits all model. If something is not working, we adjust. My job is to help you identify what is actually required for change, not what sounds good in theory.
Outside of my clinical work, I spend a significant amount of time in ongoing study and professional development. I also volunteer within community groups and work as a mentor in addiction recovery spaces.
I am a father to two daughters, which keeps me grounded and honest. When I can, I disappear into nature in my van, where life slows down and perspective returns.
